Thermal Survey
It all begins with a Thermal Survey. Without correctly identifying the problem areas, it is unlikely that the fault rectification will be swift or effective.
All types of Commercial Buildings can have Underfloor Heating installed, such as Hospitals, Offices, Warehouses, Shops, the options arealmost limitless.
The example image above identified why a GP Surgery Waiting Room was always cold; only half the floor was heated!

Controls (Electical)
The Controls are probably the most complicated element to your installation.
As an experienced Trend BMS Engineer, I’ve probably experienced some of the most complex heating and cooling systems in the UK.
The variety of equipment used to control Underfloor Heating and it’s associated plant is vast. A simple Thermostat and Programmer can be used in the most basic format, up to the most complex multi controller installation often used within large Commercial Buildings.

MECHANICAL
Fortunately, the majority of mechanical faults with Underfloor Heating are minor and can be rectified without specialist engineers.
If large items of plant have failed, such as LTHW pumps or control valves, these will be identified for replacement by your existing M&E supplier.
In the event of damaged pipework causing leaks, investigations can be completed and recommendations provided.
